On behalf one of our partner company, we are looking for a candidate to the following position:


Financial Analyst

Financial Analyts to support Financial Controller Europe in providing financial reporting & leadership, improving key Budgeting, Planning Analysis & Decision Support processes within Europe and interacting within the Company Group.

Responsibilities:

•    Support Financial Controller Europe & Team in driving & improving financial & management reporting capabilities, leading to enhanced business performance analysis & interpretation
•    Control Gate for initial input of monthly reporting information from finance functions in plants & regional offices. Scan for issues & any significant deviations, follow up with plants & offices - push up the line for critical / major items. Special attention to be paid to monthly bookings such as PPV & Inventory variances.
•    Consolidate monthly reporting package of comments from various sites, challenging iexplanations / tems which are incorrect or ambigious. Produce final report for review by Financial Controller Europe & follow up on feedback / questions raised
•    Confirm final analysis reports in Cognos are checked & ready for pulling from the system. Ensure also reports for explaining impact of foreign currencies is updated. Distribute reports to Corporate & Division Heads.
•    Support Financial Controller Europe & Team in preparing monthly operations package, special focus on gathering & consolidating data for presentation i.e. Headcount, KPI's, Engineering. Assist in error proofing final package before submission to corporate
•    Prepare ad hoc reporting for corporate - working capital, special attention to inventory & receivables. Follow up on outstanding issues to resolve before next close.
•    Initial Review of Weekly & Monthly Margin Reports - ensure errors are followed up and corrected i.e. Missing Sales / Costs (incomplete BOMS). Prepare reports for further analysis by Financial Controller Europe & Team. Gather information for significant deviations i.e. copies of special credit notes
•    Work with Financial Controller Europe & local controllers to develop, implement & improve processes within Europe, looking to harmonise reporting, planning, forecasting & budgeting. Help to ensure problems are addressed & processes get fixed, with periodic reviews to confirm compliance.
•    Ad hoc analyses & special projects i.e. Working as a control gate for switches orders to ensure no negative margin items are accepted or processed.
•    Support Financial Controller Europe & Team in Budget process. Work with Sales & Plants to ensure high quality data loaded to ERP system. Work proactively to resolve issues with all parties to a satisfactory conclusion.
•    Manage Internal reports i.e. Order Backlog, Weekly Sales Report


Requirements:

•    Degree in Finance / Accounting
•    Minimum 3 years in Financial Accounting / Reporting environment, preferably within multi-site / division / group structure           
•    Practical & Theoretical Knowledge of IFRS, business & controlling mindset   
•    Result driven - team orientated
•    Sensitivity to different cultural backgrounds essential, given the diverse environmental structure - able to challenge results & decisions
•    Ability to work with limited supervision in cross functional structure   
•    Verbal & written fluency in English, other European languages an asset (French, German, Italian - highly desired)
